Mosha’s Mom

Mosha

Have you ever had a pet that connects into your soul? My dog Mosha is that for me. She is my baby. She means everything to me. I don’t know what I’d do without her. I have two brain tumors, I’m older I struggle with depression, so things are sometimes tough. But Mosha always keeps my spirits up. She takes care of me. So of course, I want to take care of her too!

I got Mosha 16 years ago when my friend who bred chihuahuas sold her to me for next to nothing. She immediately stole my heart. She’s the fiercest 5 pounds of dog flesh you ever met, or so SHE thinks. When my son’s 100 pound dogs come over, with a bite on the nose, she puts them right in their places.

Mosha’s not your stereotypical chihuahua. She doesn’t œyip, she loves everybody she meets. When I’m depressed she lies right on top of me. She buries her nose under a blanket to sleep, which always makes me laugh. And she loves to wear her dress. When I put it on her, she struts around the house like the princess she is.

She cuddles me at night. She’s the first thing I see in the morning. She’s with me day and night.

The vets at SICSA had been helping me to care for her. They identified a heart murmur and some kidney issues. But then it was determined her mouth was really bad was causing her pain. I’m on SSI and barely making ends meet. All of Mosha’s teeth could need extracted. That would be major, expensive surgery.

That’s when Ellie’s Rainy Day Fund joined the team. I don’t know what I would’ve done without you. You’re helping me to do what’s best for my baby. Thank you for being our guardian angel.
