Hi! My name is Jax. I’m am member of the best family in the world! I know about these things because I came from a rescue so I know what it’s like to NOT have one!

Two months ago I was going along living my best life, doing my regular puppy things. I was very high energy but that was good because my parents had been looking for a pup to keep up with their other Airedale. One day I decided to eat a sock. I was proud of myself for my accomplishment. But then I started feeling TERRIBLE! My folks rushed me to our vet who said I was blocked and took the darn thing out. They spent tons of money on me for surgery, staying in the hospital, eating special food, taking 6 kinds of medications”YUCK!

But ever since I’d still been feeling puny. I just kept losing weight. I wanted to go back to sharing a pillow with my Mom, running with her, protecting our house, but I just didn’t have the energy anymore.

But NOW, I’m slowly coming back to being myself. This dog named Ellie has what’s called a Rainy Day Fund. I’m not big on rain myself but in this case it turned out to be a good kind of thing. They paid for me to be in that scary place again (Mom called it an ICU) and to see a special doctor who knows about my kinds of problems. I think it’s working. I’m beginning again to love on and be on top of everyone I meet. I’m back to enjoying nibbling on my people’s fingernails too. I haven’t gained back much weight but I have a feeling that will come.
