Doc's Love Story

We’re so thankful for Ellie’s Rainy Day Fund. Without you we would’ve lost our boy. We, my son and our other dog, Belle all really appreciate your help.
In Doc's words...
Hi! My name is Doc. I’m the cutest little 2 year old dachshund you’ll ever meet. Not bragging… just saying. I may be small in size but I’m a big part of my family. When my human brother was born, they found out he had a problem with his kidneys. My people were sad and scared. But I made them smile until things were OK. He and I are best buds—we nap together and watch movies from our spider man couch. My favorite thing is when he lays right on top of me. Oh yea, and then there’s my dog sister… she got really depressed when I was gone.
See, there was something wrong by my leg and my belly. It hurt a lot. So much so that I had to stop running and playing. I just wanted to be left alone.
My Mom and Dad took me to the doctor who said I had a hernia and my intestine was caught in it. Whatever that means. All I know is that I felt AWFUL.

I needed surgery. It would cost a lot. My parents wanted to do whatever I needed but where would they get the money?
Then the vet came in and told them there was this Fund that was named for another dog. A cute one like me. Anyway, they could help so we could all stay together!
I’ve been back home for awhile now. I’m napping with my boy and running speedy figure eights around the yard. Belle is back to eating and playing because we’re a doggy duo again. Everyone is happy, especially me because I have gone back to bringing my family lots of joy. My family is still all together.
