Hi, my name is Cosmo! I got my name from some of my Mom’s little humans (they call her grandma). One of them, Victoria, insisted that they rescue me when she saw me in a box when she came to learn to dance. I was only 3 weeks old, itchy from those things biting me all the time and scared to be in a building with people!

But when Mom brought me home, she fed me every few hours and held me and cooed at me. I started feeling warm and safe. She lived with a big man (she called him her son) who played with me all the time. He used to swing me around. I loved being with him!

But then he died. I missed him. Mom REALLY missed him. She cried all the time and I snuggled with her and stayed close. Now it’s just her and me in the house. I love her and I know she loves me.

A while ago I started feeling awful. Tired and sick. It hurt so badly that I didn’t want to eat or cuddle. I couldn’t pee. I could hardly move.

Three times the nice folks at Miami Valley Animal Hospital tried to get me unblocked but I kept replugging. So, they contacted this group named for a dog (but in this case it was a nice dog) who paid for me to see a special vet and have surgery so I won’t go through that ever again.

Now I’m back with my Mom, racing up my cat tree, gobbling my treats, sitting on her lap and snuggling close in bed. I was so worried that I’d have to leave her just like her son did and I knew she’d be lost without me. But here we still are…the perfect kitty-approved family!
