You, Ellie's donors, are nothing short of angels. In a time when we’ve already faced so much loss, your generosity saved us from losing Cody.

Have you ever survived a house fire?
Let me tell you, it’s terrifying. It means you lose so much of everything familiar. In our case, though, we were incredibly fortunate. All the people and pets (except, sadly, Hammy, the hamster) made it out alive. I will always be grateful for the firefighters who found all four of our pets amidst the smoke.

Cody, our incredible cat, has been a shining light in our family ever since. He’s more than just a pet. He’s a source of comfort, joy, and love for all of us. Whether it’s curling up with my daughter in bed, joining us for a cozy family TV night, or giving his signature HEADBUTTS, Cody has a way of making everything feel better. His headbutts aren’t just cute; they’re like little love bursts. My son, who has cerebral palsy, lights up every time Cody gives him one. The giggles and smiles they share are pure magic. Watching their bond fills my heart with happiness.
When Cody recently got blocked again and couldn’t pee, I was terrified. I thought this time we might lose him. As a single-income family, I had already scraped together money to save him once before, but now there was just nothing left. I do everything I can, including buying him a special diet to prevent this, but sometimes it still happens.

You, Ellie's donors, are nothing short of angels. In a time when we’ve already faced so much loss, your generosity saved us from losing Cody, too. You’ve kept our family together, and for that, I can never thank you enough. Cody brings us so much joy, and because of you, we’ll continue to face life’s challenges with him by our side.
With all my gratitude,
Cody’s Mom
