He’s literally been a lifesaver for our family. But now, we couldn’t be here for him. Until

found out you were going to save our boy, we both just cried. Every one of you is a
blessing! Thank you for caring about a goofy, sweet cat and the family who loves him.
Our Measi wakes up (in our bed, of course) and immediately reaches his front arms out to my wife to be picked up. She then carries him to the kitchen to be served his wet-food breakfast. The tip for her labors? The loudest purrs you’ve ever heard!
My friends says he’s asking for “upsies”, just like her toddler does, when he holds out his paws. All I know is that when our boy stopped doing that we knew he was in serious trouble.
We are unfortunately not new to health worries with Parmesiano. Just prior to this episode (where he stopped peeing and then went through terrible spells of vomiting), he broke his pelvis. We still aren’t sure how.
But I took out a $6,000 loan against my retirement to pay for the surgery that pinned it back together. Now we call him “Steve Austin, the 6-Million-Dollar cat.”
So when he was dying this time due to a blockage, we had nothing left. But how could we live without him burrowing under the covers at night and keeping us warm? Or going camping, hiking—heck, everywhere-- with us on his kitty harness and leash? Or playing referee between our dog and our other two cats?
