But if the choice was him being miserable for the rest of his life, or me facing misery…

I couldn’t believe it when we were told there were kind people who donate to Ellie’s Rainy Day Fund to help families like ours. This means more to me than you will ever know.  Thank you for saving my family.

It was the worst day of my life—or so I thought. I arrived home from work at lunch to find my sweet Max was in horrible pain.  We rushed him to the ER, found he had broken his elbow, and paid $8,000 for surgery. It was financially tough, but we made it happen—anything for our boy.

We kept him on limited movement while he healed, but he still couldn’t walk right.  It had been 3 weeks, and he wasn’t putting weight on his “good” side.

Let me introduce you to Max.  He came into my life after my 10-year-old dog died from a brain tumor.  I was devastated.  I couldn’t shake my depression.  My wonderful husband gave me this adorable little wiggle butt for Christmas.

It was love at first sight!  Max helps with absolutely everything. He loves everyone he meets; there is no such thing as a stranger. After a horrible day at work, Max is there. Family trouble, money trouble, or anything at all, Max is there to snuggle, love, and make you smile.  Any time he sees you, that nubbin tail of his goes a million miles an hour.  That’s why we call him wiggle butt.

You can imagine my fear and heartbreak when we took him in for his surgery recheck, and they told us his OTHER elbow was broken as well.  There’s no way we could get another $8,000.  Please no.  I couldn’t put him down just because he was broken.

But if the choice was him being miserable for the rest of his life or me facing misery…

I couldn’t believe it when we were told some kind-hearted people donate to Ellie’s Rainy Day Fund to help families like ours.  This means more to me than you will ever know.  Thank you for saving my family.
