Levi’s Love Story

My mom calls me her “Gentle Giant”.  Do you suppose that’s because I know when she’s struggling and I cuddle all 120 pounds of myself right against her?  I don’t want to squish her.  I just want her to know she’s loved.

I love to help mom have a better life.  She used to live with a guy for 30 years who didn’t like dogs.  She says now that she’s getting a divorce that dogs are way better than husbands.

All I know is she counts on me to get her through rough times.

She can’t play too good so I play for her and make her smile.  See, I love my mom.  And I love my ball.  I keep it with me ALWAYS.  I bounce it, I carry it.  I hide it & then go find it.  I throw it to myself.  There isn’t anything my ball and I can’t do!

A week ago, though, I found myself outside without my ball.  I had nothing to do so I picked up a rock.  Then by mistake I swallowed it.  BAD move.  I felt like I was going to die it hurt so bad in me.

Mom cried all the way to the hospital and kept telling me, “I don’t have any money.  I know they’re going to put you down.  I can’t lose you”.

Well guess what, she didn’t!  She just kept saying how wonderful the Ellie’s people were.  And how they saved us.  Are you one of them?  Thank you for keeping me here with my mom!
