Please join us in thanking Jeannette Adkins for her tireless efforts in improving the lives of pets and their families here in the Miami Valley.  She is the recipient of the first annual ELLIE’S HERO  award, given œIn appreciation for your commitment to helping pets remain with the people who love them.

Jeannette served as one of the founding Board members for Ellie’s Rainy Day Fund, leading the way in our offering of a conference that helped service providers understand the importance of the bond we humans and animals share; rolling up her sleeves to assist at fundraisers like our paw painting bouquets; helping us to figure out our day-to-day operations.  She’s no stranger to making life better for families with fur members!  Over fifteen years ago, she was instrumental in the creation of the Greene County Parks and Recreation Scout Dog Park, still one of the only free dog parks in Greene County.
