Meeshee is my family. Since my husband recently died, followed by my mom and both in-laws, it’s just the two of us. She’s all my support.
I’m still recovering from breast cancer surgery, and Meeshee stayed by my side through all my treatment. When the chemo wore me out so badly that I had to crawl upstairs to go to bed, she laid at the top of the steps and encouraged me on.
I always try to put Meeshee’s needs before my own, but I’m on disability and no matter what I tried, I couldn’t fi nd a way to aff ord the x-rays, dental surgery & medications she needed.
When I found out Ellie’s Rainy Day Fund could help, I was in tears. You are such a blessing to me and other families who need help with their pets. Please thank your supporters for me. There is no way I would still have my girl without all of you.
YOU made 2018 an incredible year for keeping families together by saving their pets’ lives! With more of you donating and volunteering, veterinary care increased dramatically. Enjoy this look back at 2018, knowing that it happened because of you!
With your continued support, our goal for 2019 is to serve 60+ families, moving toward the day when no one will be put in a position where they must decide to surrender or euthanize a member of their family!

Ellie’s Rainy Day Fund partners with veterinarians in the Miami Valley area to help families who might otherwise have to surrender or euthanize their animal companions.
We recognize that our member practitioners are best qualified to determine which clients require support, so Ellie’s Rainy Day Fund is administered ONLY through our partner veterinary practices.
Our model provides the opportunity for a true partnership with the client contributing what they are able, the treating veterinarian discounting their services, and ERDF funding the remainder.
